Before you drive off, film the car for about three minutes. We timestamp it, verify the location, and send a copy to you and the rental company.

Rental companies charge for damage found at return. If a scratch was already there at pickup, it is your word against theirs. A few photos in your camera roll rarely settle it: they can be questioned, and the company never saw them.

18:24:31About three minutes at the parking bay, before you start the engine.

Start at the front and walk around slowly. Say what you see out loud.
Scratch on the wheel? Tap the screen. The photo is added and you can flag it.
One photo of the paperwork they gave you. The plate is read for you.
You and the rental company both get the report by email.
The report is stamped with our clock when you send it, so it can’t be backdated.
One link with everything: the video, the close-ups you flagged, what you said, and the verified time and place. Keep it for the day they call.

The desk is closing and the damage sheet shows nothing. You film the car in three minutes and say "scuff, rear bumper, left side". The rental company gets the report before you leave the car park.
You reply with the report link. It shows the scuff at pickup, with the server time, the GPS position and a Bitcoin seal anyone can check on opentimestamps.org.
Long sides, roof edges, the load area: the walkaround keeps all of it, with your voice describing what you see. Nothing to install, it runs in the browser.
These are illustrative scenarios, not customer reviews. RentalProof gives you strong evidence, not a guarantee of the outcome.
Record the car’s condition before you drive off, in a way the rental company can’t dispute: a walkaround video, close-ups of each scratch, a verified time and location, and a copy sent to them at pickup. The RentalProof App (RPA) does all of this in about three minutes from your phone.
Yes, 100% free. No subscription, no paid plan, no card. Filming, the verified report, the copy sent to the rental company and the Bitcoin seal are all included, for as many rentals as you like.
It is strong evidence, not a legal guarantee. The time comes from our server, the location from your phone, and the company receives the report at pickup, so it’s hard to argue they never saw it. You can use it with the rental company, your card issuer, your insurer or a consumer mediator.
No, and anyone can check. Every file gets a SHA-256 fingerprint, and those fingerprints are anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain through OpenTimestamps, usually within a few hours. If a single pixel changed, the fingerprint would no longer match. The report offers the proof files for download, and they can be checked on opentimestamps.org without RentalProof.
No. RPA opens in your phone’s browser and you can start filming straight away. When you send, you confirm your email with a 6-digit code so your copy reaches you. You can also add it to your home screen like an app.
Your recording is saved on the phone. The report is sent as soon as you’re back online. The verified time is set when it reaches our server, so send it before you leave if you can.
Any of them. The customer-service emails of the major companies are built in. For others, we look the address up for you, or you type the email printed on your agreement.
Reply to their claim with your report link. It shows the damage at pickup, with the time, place and your own description, and it shows they received it before you drove off.
English, French and Spanish. You can narrate in any of the three, and the report opens in the reader’s language.
Add RPA to your home screen so it’s one tap away at the rental desk.
